During a recent interview with Sky Sports, Bobby Lashley hinted that he might be looking to leave WWE after SummerSlam for another MMA fight.
The 42-year-old former Intercontinental Champion is still under contract with Bellator and has his eyes on Bellator Heavyweight and Light Heavyweight Champion, Ryan Bader as a potential opponent.
“I think I am still probably going to do a couple more before it’s all said and done,” Lashley said. “I am still under contract at Bellator also, and if I go back I will give them a call and possibly go after (Ryan) Bader. I don’t want to wait too long, time is ticking.”
Lashley has been full-time with WWE since his return to the company a year ago, having picked up the Intercontinental Championship twice during that time. However, The Almighty hinted that SummerSlam might be the time he chooses to walk away from WWE to finish his MMA career.
“I feel great. My body is 100% so I think maybe this summer, maybe after SummerSlam,” Lashley said.
