Boston Celtics Center Enes Kanter Wins WWE 24/7 Title at ‘The Garden’

Boston Celtics center Enes Kanter returned to Madison Square Garden this Monday night ahead of WWE Raw and was involved in a segment with 24/7 Champion R-Truth. Kanter was booed mercilessly by the crowd as he actually used to play for the New York Knicks, who call The Garden home, and there’s nothing the Manhattan faithful hate more than a Boston turncoat.

The NBA star played it up perfectly, however, embracing the heat by knocking down Truth and pinning him to become the new WWE 24/7 Champion. He then revealed a Celtics jersey under his hoodie, resulting in even more boos from the fans in attendance. Truth ended up quickly winning back the title with a roll-up, but for a brief second there we really did have the first ever professional basketball player as 24/7 champ.
