The following contains minor *SPOILERS* for a competitor in the Mae Young Classic. We did our best to remain vague in her placement of the tournament, but the superstar in question has moved beyond the opening round.
23-year-old WWE UK Superstar Tegan Nox, formerly known as Nixon Newell, may have suffered a serious injury at Thursday night’s Mae Young Classic taping. According to several live reports from fans in attendance, the young wrestler appeared to injure her knee within the first few minutes of a match. After being checked on by medics the referee eventually allowed her to continue, but after Nox collapsed a second time the bout was stopped.
Nox was said to be in a lot of pain, with one source noting that she was in tears as the medics checked on her and helped her to the back. This is not the first time the UK star has dealt with a serious injury, as she was actually pulled from the first Mae Young Classic because of a torn ACL. For what it’s worth, another source noted that the injury at Thursday night’s show was not the same knee as previously injured.
We’ll have more on this situation as it develops.
