Breaking News: NXT Tag Titles Change Hands as Former Champion Leaves This Week’s WWE NXT on Crutches

Kyle O’Reilly and Roderick Strong of The Undisputed Era defeated Tyler Bate and Trent Seven, collectively known as Mustache Mountain, to become the new NXT Tag Team Champions on this week’s edition of WWE NXT television.

The UK stars originally won the gold several weeks ago during the NXT UK Championship Tournament, scoring a victory in the battle against the Undisputed Era, who have seemingly built up their own vendetta against the WWE UK brand. However, Seven entered this week’s bout with a weakened knee, giving the former champions a target to ruthlessly pick apart throughout a brutal and hart-hitting contest. In the end, a helpless Tyler Bate was forced to throw in the white towel of surrender to save his partner’s career.

Following the bout, WWE posted a video (shown above) featuring Trent Seven being checked on by WWE medical staff, and ultimately leaving the building on crutches to be further evaluated.

O’Reilly and Strong were not the only members of TUE victorious on this week’s show, as NXT North American Champion Adam Cole also picked up a win over Danny Burch – another WWE UK superstar – who was out for revenge after the faction injured his tag team partner Oney Lorcan.
