After months of pushing and trying to become the WWE Champion, Kofi Kingston will finally get his one on one opportunity at WrestleMania 35.
It was confirmed on tonight’s WWE SmackDown Live that Daniel Bryan will defend his WWE Championship against Kofi Kingston on the Grandest Stage Of Them All.
Kingston’s New Day teammates, Xavier Woods and Big E had to run a tag team gauntlet in order to get their stablemate to WrestleMania, with the tag team defeating; The Good Brothers, Nakamura & Rusev, The Bar, The Usos (by forfeit), and eventually WWE Champion Daniel Bryan and Rowan.
Vince McMahon himself provided confirmation of the match before the show went off the air that Kingston would be getting the title shot against Daniel Bryan, although he did question if a B+ player could defeat the Planet’s Champion.
But we will all find out together at WrestleMania 35, as Kofi Kingston gets his first-ever one on one WWE Championship match after an incredible 11-year career with the company.
