Chris Leben Officially Retires From Mixed Martial Arts

After eleven years of competition, Chris “The Crippler” Leben has officially hung up the 4oz gloves and has retired from MMA.

Leben made the announcement earlier today on “The MMA Hour” with Ariel Helwani.

The 33 year old Leben leaves the sport after thirty-three professional fights and holds a record of 22-11 (12 KO’s, 5 submissions, and by way of decision). He spent most of his career under the UFC banner, making a name for himself as a participant in the first ever season of “The Ultimate Fighter” in 2005.

His last win was at UFC 132 when he knocked out Wanderlei Silva in just 27 seconds. Leben would lose his next four fights in the Octagon before ultimately deciding to retire.
