On Monday, former UFC light heavyweight champion Chuck Liddell appeared on the MMA Hour, where he was asked by Ariel Helwani about possibly coming out of retirement for one more fight.
Liddell said that, as of right now, he’s not planning on fighting again. But, he also said that he hasn’t completely ruled out the possibility of fighting again.
“Not right now; no,” said Liddell when asked if he’s planning on coming out of retirement. “But I never put it out of my mind, it’s always a possibility, you never know. I think ever since I retired I’ve said ‘yeah, I don’t know.’ It’s still hard to put that final nail in the coffin and go ‘I’ll never be back. I’ll never try it one more time.’ So, we’ll see. It just depends.”
Liddell is no longer with the UFC, so if he does have one more fight, it’ll likely be for Bellator. As for who he could face, well, there are two big names out there for him: Tito Ortiz and Chael Sonnen.
