According to MMAFighting.com, Conor McGregor and his entourage caused choas at today’s UFC 223 media event at The Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NYC, and the incident sent lightweight contender Michael Chiesa to the hospital after suffering a laceration. Chiesa is scheduled to fight Anthony Pettis on Saturday night.
The report furthers that McGregor and his “team” attacked a van filled with fighters that were leaving the arena, and at one point McGregor himself heaved a dolly through the window of the van, shattering the glass.
UFC 223 headliner Khabib Nurmagomedov, who was recently involved in a hotel altercation with McGregor’s teammate, Artem Lobov, was reportedly in the van along with his team.
TMZ later caught up with UFC President Dana White, and as seen in the video below White revealed a warrant is out for McGregor’s arrest, and that the UFC star “is going to jail.”
“People are going to sue [McGregor],” White added. “He’s gonna have a bunch of civil lawsuits, and he’s in a lot of trouble.”
Conor McGregor was taken into custody and officially arrested at 10:23 pm ET. Multiple charges pending. He is currently at the 78th precinct in Brooklyn.
