Curt Hawkins To Use Real Name On The Indy Scene

UPDATE x 3: As we previously reported, Curt Hawkins already has an independent booking for this weekend with Jersey Championship Wrestling in Long Beach (June 13) and Hasbrouck Heights (June 14), New Jersey. He also signed with Pro Wrestling Syndicate not long after his WWE release was announced. He will debut for PWS on September 20 in Rahway, New Jersey.

Hawkins will now be going by his real name of Brian Myers for all future shows, with the nickname of “The Prince of Queens.”

He also has a show booked for Beyond Wrestling on June 22 in Providence, Rhode Island.

UPDATE x 2: Jersey Championship Wrestling has announced that Curt Hawkins will appear in his first appearance this weekend following his WWE release on Thursday. The promotion announced that Hawkins will appear at their June 13th and 14th shows in Long Branch and Hasbrouck Heights. As previously reported, Hawkins has signed on with PWS (see below) and will be appearing on all future dates with the promotion, with his first date set for September 20th in Rahway, New Jersey.

The booking seems to indicate that he doesn’t have a “no compete clause” or his contract expired?

Also appearing at the JCW weekend shows are Val Venis, QT Marshall, Bandido Jr., Joey Janela, Rhett Titus, Takaaki Watanabe, Su Yung, Lince Dorado, Rich Swann, 2Hot Steve Scott, Jigsaw, The Playas Club, Glitz & Glamour, Los Ben Dejos, The Down Boyz, Guapo Grande, Corey Havoc, Danny Inferno, “Frat Boy” Brandon Kirk and more. You can get tickets here.

UPDATE: Pro Wrestling Syndicate has announced that the recently released Brodus Clay is scheduled to make his debut for the promotion on September 20th, in Rahway, NJ. Former WWE talent Curt Hawkins is also working the event.

PWS is happy to welcome BRODUS CLAY to our roster! Brodus Clay will be making his PWS debut on September 20th in Rahway NJ!

Good for Brian, WWE did next to nothing to build his brand, so he’ll have an easier time using his own name than others who have been released.
