As previously noted, we had the opportunity to sit down with the “American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes this past weekend, as he took us behind the scenes at the ALL IN press conference in Chicago, IL.
We have since re-released our video with the former ROH World Champion, featured below, to include better audio and video quality, as well as exclusive clips from the ALL IN event – including Marty Scurll singing a hit single – as well as never-before-seen footage of the Bullet Club leading a Ring of Honor crowd in an expletive chant against CM Punk’s upcoming UFC opponent, Mike Jackson.
Punk was a hot topic of discussion all day long in the Windy City this past Sunday, as he was announced for an appearance at Pro Wrestling Tees in Chicago during ALL IN weekend. When asked about him possibly making another appearance at the sold out show itself, Cody told us there have been conversations about bringing him in, but for now considers announcing names like Punk, or WWE employees like his brother Dustin (aka Goldust) to be “cheating”, as the group wanted to legitimately sell out the Sears Centre on their own merit. After they accomplished that extraordinary feat in less than 30 minutes, however, that may no longer be a factor.
Currently, Cody says he just wants Punk to focus on, and win his next fight, and actually wishes he could be in attendance next month for UFC 225 on pay-per-view. At Sunday’s Ring of Honor television taping, after cameras stopped rolling, members of the Bullet Club actually busted out a variation of their old “FTR” catchphrase, modifying it to send an expletive message to fighter Mike Jackson (0-0), who steps into the ring with CM Punk (0-1) on June 9th.
Check out the clip at the very end of our video above.
