Former WWE Star Weighs In On WWE World Title Unification, John Cena & Randy Orton

Former ECW Champion and WWE star Justin Credible has published a new column at Credible talks about Monday’s WWE Raw, the World Title Unification, WWE TLC and more. This week Justin Credible has Sonjay Dutt as the special guest on his Pro Wrestling 101 video series. Here is an excerpt from his article:

“Monday Night Raw was in beautiful OKC. The most important thing for me coming out of the Raw broadcast was that at TLC we will crown a single unified World Champion. I know that there are a lot of opinions on this, but I believe that one promotion should have one world champion. I never liked the way WWE called one title holder WWE champ, and the other World champion. For this viewer it was confusing, and we all knew that whatever belt John Cena had was the most important. It’s about time we finally get one World Champion in the WWE.

“I’m a bit hesitant about 2 of the WWE’s top Babyfaces in handicap matches on the TLC PPV. CM Punk vs The Shield, and Daniel Bryan vs The Wyatts. I like the possibility of both programs, but handicap matches are difficult. Not to mention you are essentially telling the same story twice in the same PPV broadcast.

The John Cena vs Randy Orton TLC unification match should be a good one. Both guys are hungry, and I think the winner will be the man come WrestleMania.”

  1. They should’ve saved the unification match for Wrestlemania having CM Punk face Daniel Bryan, with Cena vs Orton in a fluffer match to kick off the show. I know they have a ppv to sell in TLC, but a unification bout with Cena and Orton is not the answer. And besides, this would give them plenty of time to build up steam for the collosal match.
A double main event at TLC pitting John Cena vs CM Punk for World title and Randy Orton vs Daniel Bryan for the WWE belt in a last chance match where there has to be a clear-cut winner and no HHH or HBK or anything would work nicely.
Let’s say Bryan wins and Cena loses the belt due to a double pin or something that causes the World title to be held up.
The winner of the Royal Rumble can become World Champion (Punk),and faces Daniel Bryan at Mania to unify both straps.
