Ring of Honor and New Japan Pro Wrestling have officially sold out their G1 Supercard event taking place at the world’s most famous arena, Madison Square Garden, on Saturday, April 6th. The show will go head-to-head against NXT Takeover: New York at the Barclays Center during WrestleMania XXXV weekend.
As previously reported, tickets went on pre-sale for all Honor Club subscribers this Wednesday, selling 9,000 tickets on the very first day and another 3,000 on Thursday. According to PWInsider.com, when tickets were released to the general public on Friday morning, the remaining seats completely sold out in a matter of minutes.
Thus far, the only names currently advertised for G1 Supercard are NJPW stars Kazuchika Okada, Tetsuya Naito and Hiroshi Tanahashi. As far as the top Bullet Club/The Elite names are concerned, Kenny Omega, Cody Rhodes and the Young Bucks are not currently advertised because their contracts expire either at the end of this year, or in early 2019.
