A huge mach has been announced for the NXT Women’s Championship at Takeover: New York. Bianca Belair, Io Shirai Kairi Sane and Shayna Baszler will go to war for the title in a Fatal 4-Way two nights before WrestleMania 35.
Baszler has been on top of the women’s division in NXT since winning the championship for a second time on October 28. She’s run roughshod over every challenger that’s stepped up to her and she continues to be one of the most dominant forces on the black and gold brand.
But Baszler has not done it alone. Her Four Horsewomen allies Marina Shafir and Jessamyn Duke have been by her side at several key moments, often providing Baszler with an unfair advantage.
However the champ is now facing some serious competition at Takeover. All three of her challengers are hungry for a win as none of them have ever worn the championship before. Considering Shayna seems to be ready for the main roster, it could be that she will lose the championship on April 5 and then move on to either Raw or SmackDown Live.
WWE has yet to announce if this will happen and it’s unknown just how long the company intends to keep Baszler in NXT .
