Impact Wrestling Announces Major Change to Slammiversary Title Match

A major change has been made to one of the top title matches taking place this Sunday night at Impact Wrestling’s annual Slammiversary pay-per-view.

As we reported on Friday evening, “All Ego” Ethan Page and “Walking Weapon” Jason Alexander, collectively known as The North, defeated LAX at a live event to become the new Impact World Tag Team Champions.

This seemed like an odd decision at the time, as LAX has been caught up in a heated program with The Rascalz over the past month, one that was supposed to play out in a title match at Slammiversary.

Impact has now confirmed that The North will defend the Impact World Tag Team Championships in a triple threat match against both LAX and The Rascalz, making the anticipated contest even more unpredictable. As determined on Friday night’s Impact Wrestling go-home show, it will be Dezmond Xavier and Zachary Wentz representing The Rascalz in the title bout.
