As noted, Impact Wrestling announced a new “Redemption” PPV event will take place on April 22nd, and it will replace the rumored plan of Impact bringing back Lockdown. According to F4WOnline.com, when new management consisting of Scott D’Amore and Don Callis came into Impact, they were against the idea of an all-cage match PPV, so the decision was made to scrap the event idea.

Eddie Edwards Injury Update

We also noted that at last night’s Impact tapings Eddie Edwards was legitimately busted open after Sami Callihan slammed a chair with a baseball bat and the bat accidentally caught Edwards in the face. Edwards was rushed to the hospital following the injury, and after being checked out he is now said to be okay.

Edwards did not come out of the hospital unscathed, however, as PWInsider.com reports a CAT Scan revealed Edwards suffered a broken nose along with some broken bones in his face.

Kenny Omega On Cody’s New Year Dash Attack

NJPW star Kenny Omega recently spoke with Tokyo Sports, and you can check out translated highlights below.

During the interview, Omega addressed Cody Rhodes “going into business for himself” and attacking Kota Ibushi following a match at New Year Dash. Omega said that kind of action is not what he wants from Bullet Club, and he’s going to have to think about the situation.
