Eddie Edwards vs. Michael Elgin

The two started trading forearm shots and strikes at the bell, and the action quickly went to the outside. Elgin hit a big forearm that did serious damage, and commentary reminded us of the damage Edwards already took on Impact this past week. Big Mike continued to level him with elbow strikes and forearms, before exposing a section of the concrete and delivering a Hangman’s DDT on the floor. There were some obnoxious as hell kids sitting near the camera talking trash to Elgin the entire match.

Elgin continued dominating with a rolling neckbreaker for a two-count. Speaking of the match on Impact this past week, why is this happening again right now? Nevertheless, the punishment kept coming with lariats, chops, and suplexes to the point where this has basically just been 10 minutes of Elgin beating up a ragdoll. Eddie did get something going when countering a suplex, sending them both over the ropes to the floor in a scary spot. He followed with a suicide dive, taking them both down on the concrete.

This went on for several more minutes. Every time Eddie got anything going, Elgin would put him back down with a German suplex or a ridiculous lariat. Elgin ends up taking a German and bouncing right back up, delivering a seated lariat, but it wasn’t enough. Edwards fired back and managed to hit the Blue Thunder Bomb, followed by a lariat to turn the big man inside out. I literally had to mute the audio because those same kids literally didn’t stop screaming and yelling at the top of their lungs, right next to the camera, for 15 minutes straight.

Elgin hit the Buckle Bomb and the Elgin Bomb and it wasn’t enough. He picked him back up and hit the Splash Mountain Bomb. Still not enough. Eddie fires back and goes after the knee, which is in a brace, as he somehow wasn’t dead and could just get back up at this point. Elgin took him to the mat and locked in a crossface. He claimed Edwards tapped out, but he got to the rope and didn’t see it. Elgin hits not one but two more Buckle Bombs. He tries for a third, but Edwards rolls him up with a sunset flip and gets the pin.

Winner: Michael Elgin

Moose vs. Rhino

Rhino cut a promo before the match talking about how Moose’s finisher is the spear he calls “No Jackhammers Needed”, and claimed he would destroy him with a Gore called “Zero F***s Given”. Weapons were introduced early and filled the ring. The PPV stream cut out for about three minutes so I have no idea what actually happened.

When the feed came back Moose was diving off the top rope with a flying elbow drop, but he only got two. He put a steel chair on Rhino’s chest and went to climb the ropes again, but the ECW legend caught him with a series of right hands, before building a pile of chairs in the middle of the ring. Rhino superplexed him through the stack, made the cover, but it wasn’t enough. More technical issues. I’m sorry folks – blame Comcast. Moose ended up getting the win after a low blow and the spear.

Winner: Moose
