Impact Wrestling Reportedly Licensing “Broken Universe” Footage to WWE

0

IMPACT Wrestling is now licensing material from both Matt and Jeff Hardy to be used by WWE in future projects, according to a report from Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com. This primarily includes footage of the “Broken Universe” content, which spanned nearly a year of IMPACT television.

While there’s no confirmation at this time on what WWE will be doing with the content they’re paying for, Johnson noted that there are plans for a WWE 24 special on the Network as well as a new DVD collection on the Hardy Boyz.

Of course, it’s also possible that some of the content makes its way to WWE television in the future. It would be convenient to have reference points if the company continues to add elements to the “Woken” Matt Hardy character, such as Senor Benjamin, his wife, and sons, Brother Nero, the Hardy compound, Vanguard1, etc. That’s all speculation though. At this point, all that’s being reported is that Impact Wrestling has licensed footage for WWE to use and that there are plans for future Hardy projects in the works.
