Jay Lethal reached a major milestone in his Ring of Honor career on Friday night at Final Battle.
Lethal and Jonathan Gresham defeated The Briscoes to become the new ROH World Tag Team Champions, his first time winning the belts despite competing for the promotion off-and-on since 2003.
The victory earns Lethal the rare title of Ring of Honor Triple Crown Champion, joining only Eddie Edwards, Roderick Strong, Christopher Daniels and Matt Taven as the five stars who have accomplished this feat.
He won his first ROH World Championship in 2015 and held the title for 427 days, and his second reign in 2018 lasted 280 days. Lethal’s first reign as ROH World Television Championship lasted 567 days.
He currently holds the record for most combined days as champion for both singles titles, and is the only member of the Triple Crown club to have also held the now-defunct ROH Pure Championship.
