Joe Gives Speech to TNA Roster, TNA UK Tour Attendance, More on Angle

– The January 29th TNA live event in Dublin, Ireland drew 1,000 fans. The January 31st tapings in Manchester, England drew 2,700 fans. The February 1st tapings in London at Wembley Arena drew around 4,000 fans.

– The recent TNA UK tour was said to be the most grueling tour for them ever but the best in terms of locker room morale. Everyone was happy to be working in front of larger crowds and more receptive crowds. Samoa Joe gave an emotional speech on the bus traveling back to the hotel about how this was his toughest tour but the tour had no prima donnas, no complainers and no whiners, and how proud he was of everyone. The wrestlers were chanting Joe’s name when it was over.

– Regarding the backstage argument between Kurt Angle and John Gaburick on the UK tour, one person described it as not even an argument or Angle blowing up, but Angle just expressing confusion because he thought his booking didn’t make any sense. It was said that on the tour, Angle could barely move and looked like he was hurting bad but as soon as he was in front of fans, he ignored it and put on a good performance.

I’ve often thought that the smaller American feds, like a tna, should relocate to the uk for live shows but keep their usa broadcasting deal. UK has a huge wrestling history and fanbase, much better live crowds possible, football stadiums to use and much cheaper travelling from city to city plus Europe is literally round the corner. Merch sells well here too. Financially it makes sense. Summerslam at Wembley stadium was sold out 90,000 people.
