As noted, John Cena and Nikki Bella announced last week that the WWE power couple has broken up after six years in a relationship and an in-ring engagement at WrestleMania 33.
According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, because Cena and Nikki are still stars of the “Total Divas” reality show, their breakup will have to be addressed on the show at some point.
The Observer notes that because Total Divas cameras are not always rolling on the show’s stars, and because the entire show is scripted despite it being presented as a “reality show”, Cena and Nikki Bella will likely have to “recreate” their breakup at some point for the show.
The report furthers that the on-screen breakup will likely be a fictitious or approximation of the actual breakup, so much like pro wrestling, what the audience will end up seeing is a story line version of what was a legitimate, real-life relationship breakup and the calling off of an engagement.
Sometimes we must bare the burden of shame and judgement to protect and give to the ones we love. #RiseAboveHate
