Following his loss to Roman Reigns at No Mercy, John Cena appeared on the PPV’s post-show, Raw Talk, where he was asked about his in-ring future by Jerry “The King” Lawler.
Cena, who turned 40 back in April, was unsure about how much longer he’ll be able to wrestle for:
“I just think my role is different,” Cena said. “I had a podcast with Edge and Christian and I said the same thing: regardless of whether I have outside opportunities or not, I’m 40 years old, and I have 15 years of track experience here in the WWE, and not at a normal level, at an elite level, and I don’t know how much longer I can keep it up. If I have opportunities outside, great, if I didn’t, I think… I gotta know when to say when at that point, and I’m not done, but I don’t know if I can keep going at the pace that I’ve been going.”
