NXT UK star Jordan Devlin has commented on his loss to Finn Bálor at the Takeover: Blackpool event on Saturday, January 12.
The match was not scheduled and Finn’s appearance was indeed a shock for the Blackpool crowd. Devlin was initially booked to face Travis Banks but the two merely brawled instead. Banks was selling a bad leg and the bell never rang, which means the match never officially began.
Devlin’s pairing with Bálor was surely a great moment for UK pro wrestling fans, who watched Jordan break into the business under Finn’s guidance.
Devlin had a great showing in this match and made his case for being NXT UK’s breakout star. Finn praised Jordan after the match, but judging from his tweet, Jordan will be ready the next time.
I've been chasing you across this planet for 16 years now. Tonight I finally caught you up, in a @WWE ring. Thanks for the scrap. Now you better start running again, I WILL get you next time. #NXTUKTakeOver #NXTUK pic.twitter.com/8qxKyDOIEa
