WWE Superstar Kane recently sent out a Tweet showing what he says is his “proudest moment in a WWE ring.”
Kane, real name Glenn Jacobs, is flanked by friends and family, as well as an oversized check from WWE. The check is for the Knoxville Public Safety Foundation and is in the amount of $100,000. Fans will remember that the donation came at Jacobs’ request following his booking for events in late 2018, including October 6’s Super Show-Down in Australia.
According to Knox News, the Knoxville Public Safety Foundation helps first responders and their families following times of illness, injury or death. That includes the police department and fire department.
Jacobs was elected as the new mayor of Knox County in 2018. He has not yet officially retired from WWE as Kane. During the fall of last year, he was involved in one of the company’s biggest angles along with The Undertaker against Triple H and Shawn Michaels.
The presentation of the check came during a WWE Live Event at the Knoxville Civic Coliseum and Auditorium on Saturday, January 12. Current WWE Intercontinental champion Seth Rollins was also in the ring for the presentation of the check.
