WWE has officially announced the release of Jonathan Huber, better known to fans around the world as Luke Harper.
In March, Harper released a long statement on Twitter expressing his frustration. The 39-year-old Superstar noted that at the time, he had been cleared to return from injury for well over a month, but was still approached by talent and even writers who had no idea he was ready to come back. Shortly after WrestleMania, he asked for his release.
Harper signed with WWE in 2012, and during his time there was a founding member of The Wyatt Family, won the NXT Tag Team Championships and Smackdown Tag Team Championships with Erick Rowan, and is a former Intercontinental Champion as well.
Sin Cara was also released from his WWE contract earlier today.
