As noted, WWE has announced a live event will be taking place on April 27th at the King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and the event will feature a 50-man “Greatest Royal Rumble” match.
According to PWInsider.com, WWE will be making the Saudi Arabia event a major priority following WrestleMania 34, and big creative plans are in place for the show and the Royal Rumble match. The report notes WWE even has plans for The Undertaker to make an appearance at the event, and The Dead Man will join the following names who WWE previously announced as appearing: John Cena, Triple H, Roman Reigns, AJ Styles, Braun Strowman, The New Day, Randy Orton, Bray Wyatt and Shinsuke Nakamura. It’s worth noting that not all the talent being advertised for the event will necessarily compete in the Battle Royal match, although WWE will likely need all hands on deck to fill 50 match spots.
WWE recently signed a new ten-year pact with Vision 2030, Saudi Arabia’s social and economic reform program, so WWE is “ramping up” efforts to make their first event as part of the new deal as big as possible.
The PWInsider report furthers more surprises are possibly being planned for the event, which will likely air on WWE Network despite no official announcement being made in that regard.
