If he looks familiar to you, it’s because Jungle Boy, real name Jack Perry, is the son of Hollywood star and 90210 alum, Luke Perry. Luke Perry has even been seen at events like at Underground Empire Wrestling (as filmed by ProWrestlingSheet), supporting his son since 2017, as you can see in the video below.

Since then, Jungle Boy has been making a name for himself in promotions like Game Changer Wrestling (GCW) where he faced off against former IMPACT wrestling star, and now free agent DJZ, and recently debuted in PWG on January 18th.

Jungleboy had a recent story done on him by Sports Illustrated, in which he described his character as “It’s a character, athleticism, and innovation—a character people are familiar with, but with a new energy.” He describes himself on his Facebook page as a “Young and highflying professional wrestler”, but at 5’10” and 150 lbs, has still faced men double his size like Brody King.

The 21 one year old is a great get for AEW, who has been shining on the indie scene, and yet remains relatively unknown to the average wrestling fan. Cody made the call in their recent video on his YouTube channel, presumably live, to make the offer to Jungle Boy.

Jungle Boy joins he AEW roster as they continue to build towards their Double Or Nothing Event, and as of this writing has a roster of:

  • Cody
  • Matt Jackson
  • Nick Jackson
  • Hangman Page
  • Chris Jericho
  • PAC
  • Scorpio Sky
  • Christopher Daniels
  • Frankie Kazarian
  • MJF
  • Britt Baker
  • Brandi Rhodes
  • Joey Janella
  • Penelope Ford
  • Jungle Boy

We will look to February 7th during the Double Or Nothing “Ticket Announcement Party” to see who could be next to join the roster!
