Impact Wrestling has confirmed that veteran Japanese wrestler Naomichi Marufuji will be in action at this year’s Bound for Glory pay-per-view, coming to The Odeum in Chicago on Sunday, October 20.
Marufuji has been a mainstay for Pro Wrestling Noah for nearly two decades, debuting at their very first event in August 2000. He is one of the most heavily decorated full-time stars currently working in Japan; a 3-time GHC Heavyweight Champion, 6-time GHC Tag Team Champion, and has the distinction of winning junior heavyweight titles for All Japan, New Japan and Noah.
While his opponent for Bound for Glory hasn’t officially been announced, it’s believed he will be facing “Unbreakable” Michael Elgin based on the last set of television tapings.
