New Impact World Tag Team Champions Crowned In Mexico City

The Lucha Brothers are the brand new Impact World Tag Team Champions, after defeating Santana and Ortiz of LAX for the gold on this Friday’s edition of Impact Wrestling, taped in Mexico City.

Pentagon Jr. and Fenix won an incredible rematch from what was already an excellent bout at last month’s Impact Homecoming pay-per-view. Their victory marks the first title win for both stars during their time with the promotion, and ends LAX’s record-setting reign at 261 days.

It was also announced on Friday’s show that the Lucha Brothers will headline the 4/4 Impact Wrestling: United We Stand event in Rahway, New Jersey during WrestleMania week. They will face former WWE Champion Rob Van Dam and ECW legend Sabu in what is being billed as an “Extreme Dream Match”. ,
