New Japan Pro Wrestling has announced a new English language podcast. The first episode of the official podcast has already dropped and is hosted by Chris Charlton and Michael Craven.
New Japan gave further details about the show on its website.
Chris Charlton and Michael Craven are your hosts this first episode as they discuss Jyushin Thunder Liger’s 30th anniversary and recent feud with Minoru Suzuki, as well as the Best of the Super Juniors 26 entrants.
There’s also a request put out for opening jingle fan submissions!
The podcast is just the latest example of the company’s continuing efforts to get the brand name out beyond the Japanese borders. New Japan already has an established YouTube channel which is updated daily, as well as several Twitter accounts covering the company as well.
New Japan is quickly becoming the hottest pro wrestling promotion in the industry today. The company focuses less on mic time and more on the actual in-ring product, which features some of the industry’s top acts, including The Bullet Club, Hiroshi Tanahashi, Kota Ibushi, Will Ospreay and current IWGP Heavyweight champion Kazuchika Okada.
