Nikki Cross was part of January 5’s SmackDown Live Event in Greensboro, North Carolina. SAnitY’s psychotic sidekick was a pleasant surprise for many fans, who have been waiting for her to make a real impact on the main roster.
Cross has become a favorite in NXT, where she steals the scene every time she’s on camera. Her wild character and unpredictable personality makes her must-see TV and fans just can’t seem to get enough of her.
Her most recent storyline in NXT revolved around the Aleister Black injury angle. The former NXT champion was the victim of an apparent sneak attack in the Full Sail parking lot, which left him unconscious. NXT General Manager William Regal investigated the attack over the next several weeks, and he interrogated nearly everyone on the roster.
But the angle took a surprising turn when Cross revealed that shew knew who attacked Black. Aleister finally made his return to the brand and demanded to know who, but the answer was a shocker. Longtime fan favorite Johnny Gargano was the man responsible for attacking Black and from that point on, “Johnny Wrestling” became a top heel.
It’s unknown if or when Nikki Cross will actually move to WWE’s main roster. The company recently announced several call-ups from the yellow and black brand, but Cross was not one of them.
