With a possible 8 points per competitor already accounted for, and another 10 points remaining on the field, the A Block is just now starting to show some signs of early separation.

There is a still a long tournament left to travel and nobody has been mathematically eliminated as of yet, something Zack Sabre Jr. of all people should be thankful for as he gets on the board here with his first two points.

The stand-out at this point has to be KENTA, who remains undefeated with big wins over Ibushi and Tanahashi. The champ Okada is also undefeated with wins over Ospreay and Tanahashi, so it may all come down to who wins between the two of them.

Ibushi is the real interesting story here, as many expected him to be the clear favorite going into the G1 Finals for the A Block. He’s certainly not out yet, but that loss to KENTA may hurt. He also still has to get past Tanahashi and Okada, which at this point seems questionable. It’s certainly going to be an interesting second half to watch next week!
