Killam’s Analysis

No huge surprises here, for me. The big news is that Ishii and YOSHI-HASHI suffered their first loss so we officially have no undefeated teams just four days into the tournament. Even that wasn’t totally unforeseeable, as Cabana/Yano are the epitome of wildcards, moving into a three-way tie for the top spot themselves. With 22 points still left on the board and the entire 16-team field separated by just a 6-point spread, it’s still way too early to really make a big deal about anything. I have a feeling we’re going to see a tight race, with most teams ending up around .500 by the end, but again, we have WEEKS of action left to play out.
