IWGP TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
GUERRILLAS OF DESTINY (c) EVIL & SANADA vs. THE YOUNG BUCKS

Moves were done. Bodies were broken. Insanity took place. Give me a break, it’s 4am…

EVIL and Matt Jackson brawled out up the entrance ramp early in the match, allowing the LIJ heavy to connecting with a running lariat down the ramp. Tama Tonga is playing up how he’s a “changed man” now and only plays by the rules, which of course nobody believes. The Bucks rallied back and caught Sanada in a Sharpshooter, but GoD pushed the ropes closer to him to help break the hold. This prompted everyone to start diving to the outside, with Sanada and the Bucks dodging each others attacks over and over again, in a spot the crowd ate up.

The Bucks hit a nice springboard neckbreaker combo on Sanada — man, they really hate that dude apparently. GoD have been largely absent, biding their time, until setting up a huge Tower of Doom spot in the corner sending everyone crashing to hell. The champs cleared the ring after distractions from both Bad Luck Fale and Jado, who is wearing a creepy skeleton mask that kind of looks like Karl Anderson if you squint the right way.

Tama Tonga broke up a Meltzer Driver attempt with a spear, but Sanada and EVIL took advantage with their tag team finisher. Sanada climbed the ropes, hit his signature moonsault — shades of the great Keiji Mutoh — and EVIL cleared the ring, LIJ scoring the 1-2-3.

IWGP U.S. CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
CODY RHODES (c) vs. JUICE ROBINSON

I will update this with more details coverage later, as our internet had issues throughout this match. Lots of interference from Brandi Rhodes early on, who got in the ring and kept taunting Juice to punch her in the face. She did the spot from ALL IN when Juice tried for a top rope elbow drop, but the challenger didn’t fall for it and climbed back down, forcing her out of the ring. Eventually the referee got smart and threw Brandi out. They ended up trading each other’s finishers as Cody hit a modified Pulp Friction, and Robinson connected with the Cross Rhodes, both kicking out in an extremely close series of nearfalls. The feed went out but… somehow Juice won the title. Sorry folks. Blame Comcast.
