— The Question Mark makes his way through the crowd, accompanied of course by Aron Stevens, who takes as long as humanly possible to get to the ring. He claims that Question Mark is the national a cappella champion of Mongrovia, (…what?) and asks that the crowd please rise and remain silent for the official flag unveiling, as well as the Mongrovian national anthem. He unfurls a flag with a large question mark on it, while the actual Question Mark grunts through a song like a muppet… for a very long time…
The Question Mark vs. Trevor Murdoch
Murdoch surprises his rather large opponent with a few scoop slams early on. Question Mark comes back with some big tackles of his own, and slams Murdoch down hard. He connects with the Samoan Spike to the throat, which has put away everyone in its path thus far, but Murdoch kicks out. QM can’t believe it and starts firing off on his opponent with Mongolian (Mongrovian?) chops, but Murdoch fires back with huge clubbing blows of his own. Question Mark hits the Exclamation Point, makes the cover, but Big Trev barely gets his foot on the bottom rope. Murdoch dodges a big splash and fires away with rights and lefts. He goes after QM’s flag and throws it on the ground, then chases Aron Stevens away from ringside. He returns to the ring, but is caught with a double throat spike. It’s over.
Winner: The Question Mark
— The Rock ‘n’ Roll Express come out to the ring and announce that they have brought backup for tonight’s match, as they’ll be seconded by Eddie Kingston and Homicide tonight. The Wild Cards come through the crowd, talking trash to all the fans in his way. They also have backup, in the form of The Dawsons.
NWA World Tag Team Championship Match: The Rock ‘n’ Roll Express (c) vs. The Wild Cards
The crowd is losing their minds for The Rock ‘n’ Roll Express. Latimer underestimates them a bit and eats some wild right hands before getting tossed to the floor. Ricky Morton dove through the ropes with a suicide dive to knock over both men! I know the man is 63-years-old, but I’m not sure he’s aware of it. Gibson tags in and eventually gets overwhelmed by a double team from the challengers, but is able to do a little maneuvering and forces Latimer to take out his own partner. In comes Morton again like a bat out of hell… CANADIAN DESTROYER FROM MORTON!? WHAT!? The champions hit a double dropkick on Isaacs for the 1…2…3!
