Authors Of Pain

Authors of Pain, or AOP, made their debut in 2016 when they surprisingly attacked American Alpha. Led by legendary manager, Paul Ellering, who made his name managing the legendary tag team The Road Warriors (AKA Legion of Doom), AOP ran roughshod through the NXT, quickly winning The 2016 Dusty Rhodes Classic.

Within 6 months of their debut, AOP won the NXT Tag Team Championships and held onto them for nearly 7 months, before losing them to SAnitY, which turned out to be the first loss the Authors of Pain had ever suffered in NXT.

Since their loss, The Authors of Pain have not shied away from the limelight, but do as all exiting stars do, which is put over their competition, which they have now done twice in championship matches – first at NXT TakeOver: Wargames, and most recently at NXT TakeOver: Philadelphia, in which they delivered a massive beatdown against Bobby Fish & Kyle O’Reilly, but still came up short in their match.

To say that the destructive duo has done it all in NXT would be an understatement, and it is in my personal opinion that they would make a perfect addition to the Smackdown roster, a division that the Usos have had on lock since day one….ish.

  1. I only disagree with Adam Cole on the main roster this year. I think probably he will debut with The Undisputed Era stable and for that, they need i bit more time to build more personality to O’Relly and Fish
