Breaking News: Aleister Black Pulled from NXT Takeover Due to Injury; William Regal Announces New Main Event

NXT General Manager William Regal has officially announced that Aleister Black will be unable to compete at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn, after being assaulted in the parking lot of Full Sail University this past Wednesday night.

Black was originally slated for a big triple threat bout against Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano for the NXT Championship, but in reality he suffered a groin injury during a recent live event that required a minor surgery. The decision was made to write him off television this week with the mysterious parking lot attack.

Instead, the main event of next weekend’s huge event at the Barclays Center will see Ciampa defend the NXT Championship against Gargano in a Last Man Standing match, a brutal bout that will finally put an end to more than a year of violence, bloodshed and emotional terror between two bitter rivals.
