‘The Phoenix’ Jody Fleisch to Rise Again with 5 Star Wrestling, Sami Callihan Returns to MLW For Grudge Match

In February 2002, an exciting 21-year-old high-flyer named Jody Fleisch was the star of a British wrestling television show called ‘Revival’.

TV viewers watched as the Walthamstow daredevil soared to victory over seven other men to win the ‘King of England’ tournament at the Crystal Palace Indoor Arena and was presented with a medal by UK wrestling legend The Dynamite Kid.

Fleisch’s victory and indeed the show itself was supposed to lead to an immediate ‘Revival’ of UK wrestling and a regular TV series on a major channel.

But sadly, this didn’t come to fruition.

From there, the likeable Londoner’s career never quite reached the same heights again.

As the years ticked by, Fleisch drifted into other projects and away from the pro wrestling ring.

But over the past 12 months, The Phoenix has risen again.

Jody Fleisch is enjoying a wrestling renaissance at the age of 36 and has regained his place among the biggest talents this country has to offer.
