Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com has reported several names that are expected to be surprise entrants in tonight’s women’s WWE Royal Rumble match.
There are currently only seven women confirmed for the 2020 Women’s Royal Rumble match which leaves many opportunities for surprises, although many of the spots will obviously be taken up by the roster itself.
However, as with every Rumble match, surprises are expected. Mike Johnson is reporting that Mercedes Martinez, Beth Phoenix, and Molly Holly are all scheduled to compete within the women’s Rumble match.
Both Beth Phoenix and Molly Holly have worked in the Royal Rumble before. Phoenix famously competing in the men’s Rumble match, eliminating The Great Khali in 2010 and was part of the first-ever women’s Rumble in 2018 where she lasted just two minutes, being eliminated by her friend, Natalya.
Molly Holly was also part of the 2018 Royal Rumble match, lasting four minutes before she was eliminated by Michelle McCool. Mercedes Martinez, on the other hand, has never competed inside the Rumble and was seen at ringside last night during WWE Worlds Collide.
