As we noted last week, WWE star Randy Orton’s name came up in connection with a 2012 interview conducted by former WWE creative team member Court Bauer, in which Bauer alleged that Orton used to haze members of the WWE creative team in a very vulgar manner.
WWE responded to the developing situation by issuing a statement claiming the company is “looking into the matter”.
According to Cassidy Haynes and BodySlam.net, the entire situation does not seem to be bothering The Viper too much, as he allegedly made a joke about the allegations prior to the dark match main event at this week’s WWE Smackdown tapings. Below is an excerpt from the Body Slam account:
Before the match started Orton went outside the ring and walked over to some of the WWE crew who were also at ringside. Orton reached out and shook the hand of one of the members of the crew, and then Orton and the entire group of crewmen died laughing.
Additionally, site writer Brad Shepard provided the following on Twitter:
Randy Orton wrestled in the dark match main event after #WWE #SDLive. At ringside, Orton offered to shake hands with a WWE crew member and then they both had a laugh. An obvious play on the report about his alleged inappropriate behavior. Clearly, this is being taken seriously. pic.twitter.com/ZPDwiFJCxE
