Released Tag Team Returning to IMPACT Wresting, Taiji Ishimori Announces Departure From NOAH

Tag Team Returning to IMPACT

Reno Scum, one of the tag teams brought in by Jeff Jarrett during the Global Force Wrestling merger, will be returning to IMPACT Wrestling for an upcoming series of house shows, co-produced by the Big Time Wrestling promotion in Newark, California.

Scum had a brief run on IMPACT television challenging for the TNA World Tag Team Championships, but were sidelined when Adam Thornstowe suffered an injury and the two were later granted their release from the promotion. For what it’s worth, the duo wrestled semi-regularly for Big Time Wrestling in 2017 so this doesn’t necessarily mean we’ll ever see them back in an IMPACT ring in any official capacity.

Taiji Ishimori Leaving NOAH

Former X-Division Champion Taiji Ishimori recently announced his departure from home promotion Pro Wrestling NOAH in Japan. The 35-year-old star met with company President Masayuki Uchida this past week, according to Tokyo Sports, and appears to have left on very amicable terms.

Ishimori has been one of the linchpins of the NOAH juniors division for several years now, as a three-time GHC Jr. Heavyweight Champion and a six-time GHC Jr. Tag Team Champion. He made his debut with IMPACT in mid-2017 due to a working relationship between the two promotions, but it’s unclear if he plans to remain with them going forward. He dropped the X-Division Championship to Matt Sydal on the most recent episode of IMPACT Wrestling television.
