Ring of Honor World Champion Matt Taven to Face Jeff Cobb at ‘Best in the World’

Ring of Honor World champion Matt Taven will defend his title against Jeff Cobb at the company’s Best in the World event on Friday, June 28. ROH announced the match on June 4 and now many wresting fans are waiting to see if Taven will lose his championship.

Much of that is thanks to Taven’s critics, who have been dead-set against the champ wearing the gold. Many ROH fans were more than a little upset over Taven’s title win at the G1 Supercard on April 6 and they’ve been impatiently waiting for the moment that he drops the championship.

But many other fans feel that Taven has stepped up as the champion and that he’s doing a great job as one of the company’s best heels.

Cobb looks great right now however and it’s entirely possible that he could walk away from BITW as the new Ring of Honor World champion. More matches are expected to be added to the card, which also features Dalton Castle versus Dragon Lee and Flip Gordon versus RUSH.
