ROH Global Wars: Buffalo
October 13, 2017

(1) Deonna Purrazzo def. Sumie Sakai by submission with an armbar.

(2) Rhett Titus & Will Ferrara def. Coast 2 Coast

(3) KUSHIDA def. Hangman Page by submission with the Hoverboard Lock. Huge reaction for Page and the Bullet Club. They teased the “too sweet” gesture but couldn’t touch the fans “for legal reason”.

(4) Jay Lethal def. Kazarian with the Lethal Injection

(5) Killer Elite Squad & Minoru Suzuki def. War Machine & Mark Briscoe after Minoru hit the Gotch-style piledriver on Mark.

– Bully Ray came out to a massive pop. Tons of “ECW” chants that were almost as long as the night-long Bullet Club chants. Bully put over ROH as the company that is doing what ECW started back in the 90s. He thanked Buffalo and was very emotional.

(6) Mandy Leon def. Jenny Rose with a pumphandle driver.

(7) Hiromu Takahashi def. Christopher Daniels. Daryl might be the most over “person” on the roster. Daniels took advantage during the match and tried to attack Daryl which got huge heat.

(8) Cody Rhodes & Marty Scurll def. Yoshi-Hashi & Toru Yano. The comedic trickster was super over and did all his usual antics. Cody returned the favor and hit him with a low blow and the Cross Rhodes to steal the win.

(9) Punishment Martinez def. Will Ospreay. Surprised that the new IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Champion would take a loss like that, but this wasn’t on PPV and it’s possible they booked these shows before KOPW.

(10) The Elite def. The Kingdom to retain the ROH World 6-Man Tag Team Championships. Just an insane match with the loudest non-stop pops for Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks from beginning to end. Lots of interference as Rhodes, Scurll and Hangman hit the ring at one point. They won it with the One Winged Angel into a Meltzer Driver.

– Kenny Omega gave a shout-out to Jimmy Jacobs after the main event. He said he was originally only booked to do one show in Chicago but the fans wanted him, and Ring of Honor delivered. The Young Bucks mentioned their recent Raw “invasion” that got them in a lot of trouble, and put over ROH/NJPW for not firing people for taking selfies with fans and their friends. The crowd started chanting “f— you Vince” and “Too Sweet” and Omega ended the night with a “goodbye and goodnight”.
