ROH World Championship Match
DALTON CASTLE (c) vs. MARTY SCURLL
Marty flipped off the champion to start the match and Castle put his hands into his trunks and dug deep, pulling out a middle finger of his own. Scurll grabbed the finger and tried to snap it, but the champ caught him with a killer elbow to the jaw nearly knocking him out on his feet. Castle stomps him around the ring and connects with a great deadlift side suplex, picking up a two count. They fight to the floor and Marty takes control again slamming his opponent down head-first into the apron, then flipped off a bunch of fans again just for fun.
Great match. Everyone is exhausted after Cody/Kenny so the energy is low in the arena but these two put on one hell of a match. Most of the match was actually a brawl around the ringside area. Dalton took a big back body drop onto the entrance steps which looked like it killed. Marty took some absolutely ridiculous suplexes including one over the ropes. By the 20 minute mark both guys were basically dead on their feat.
NWA World Champion Nick Aldis (fka Magnus) was spotted ringside and actually gave Marty a pair of scissors to remove one of the turnbuckle pads. Castle tried to suplex the Villain off the top rope but Marty fought back and kicked him square in the face, sending both men crashing to the floor. Marty went to get his signature bag of powder, but the champion kicked it in his face! Scurll grabbed the referee not knowing who it was, and snapped his fingers! CASTLE WITH THE BANG-A-RANG! 1…NO! THE REFEREE CAN’T MAKE THE COUNT BECAUSE HIS FINGERS ARE BROKEN!
Scurll gets an umbrella and destroys Castle with it over and over again, but Castle rocks him with a rolling elbow out of nowhere! A new referee runs down but he only gets two. Scurll with the Chicken Wing locked in tight and they tease the hell out of a submission and the title change; Dalton gets to the ropes but Marty gets a hold of his hands and snaps his fingers! Back into the Chicken Wing they go, but Castle rolls through and hits another Bang-a-Rang! 1…2…3!
