Ronda Rousey will defend her Raw Women’s Championship against Ruby Riott at the Elimination Chamber event on Sunday, February 17. But this is not the title match that WWE fans are talking about.
That title match is the one booked for WrestleMania 35 between Rousey and Charlotte Flair. The Queen is set to challenge in a rematch from Survivor Series in 2018, which saw Rousey beat down with a kendo stick. Of course Charlotte is not the one that fans want to see in the ring with The Baddest Woman on the Planet.
Becky Lynch was ousted from the Mania match and fans are furious about it. But somewhere along the way, the February 17 bout with Riott has been lost. Ruby has shared her thoughts on this fact and even though she’s acting in character, she has a point.
Amidst the chaos of Lynch’s removal on Raw, Riott was indeed an afterthought. It’s as if WWE is so intent on building towards WrestleMania that The Elimination Chamber event is becoming irrelevant. The fact is that Riott will give Rousey all she can handle on February 17 and their match will likely be much better than expected.
Who cares about what’s best for business or what these people want?! You’re so focused on giving the #WomensEvolution what they deserve, that you’re not even looking at #EliminationChamber. So I’ll gladly take your title & main event #Wrestlemania whether they like it or not. https://t.co/aLZSBJWtey
