Daniel Bryan and Rowan are the new WWE SmackDown Live Tag Team champions. The titles were decided on the May 7 edition of SmackDown Live, when Bryan and Rowan defeated The Usos for the vacated championships.
Now Scott Dawson from The Revival has responded to the title change on Twitter. His response of “Good luck” is obviously a direct reference to The Revival’s recent treatment on Monday Night Raw.
Bryan complained that the tag team division has always been a joke and that it was time for a new evolution. He claimed that The New Day and The Usos were having too much fun as tag team champions, but that’s all going to change now.
Ironically enough, this is almost exactly what Dash and Dawson have been preaching to the WWE faithful since they arrived on the main roster. It’s as if WWE is intentionally taking shots at The Revival, while not-so-subtly hiding it behind the novelty of comedy booking. That booking includes a rather ridiculous segment on the May 6 Raw, in which The Revival were humiliated ny The Usos for the second week in a row.
The problem however is that there’s no way to know if Dash and Dawson are in on the joke behind the scenes, or if Vince McMahon’s company has truly targeted the duo for wanting out of their WWE contracts. Despite what the truth is, there’s every possibility that the bizarre drama surrounding The Revival is far from over.
