WWE has announced several segments for this week’s episode of Smackdown Live, in the wake of a newsworthy WWE Fastlane pay-per-view.
Smackdown Commissioner Shane McMahon will be on hand to make a “major WrestleMania announcement” tomorrow night, although exactly what that breaking news is remains to be seen. Shane got directly involved in the Fastlane main event after being accidentally superkicked by Kevin Owens, and would end up costing both KO and Sami Zayn the WWE Championship at different points. It’s likely the Commish will announce some kind of match between Owens and Zayn for WrestleMania, and rumors have been circulating that it may end up being a triple threat match involving Shane on the Grandest Stage of Them All.
After making a surprise appearance at Fastlane and laying claim to the Smackdown Women’s Championship, the “Empress of Tomorrow” will make her first scheduled appearance on the Blue Brand this Tuesday night. The undefeated Asuka will come face-to-face with current champion Charlotte Flair just weeks before they are set to do battle at WrestleMania 34.
