Shawn Spears, MJF, Jimmy Havoc & More Set For 6-Man Tag at AEW Fight for the Fallen, Updated Match Card

All Elite Wrestling has announced a big six-man tag team match for their upcoming Fight for the Fallen event in Jacksonville, FL next weekend.

On one side of the ring will be an interesting collection of misfits who are not afraid to roll up their sleeves and get as extreme as necessary, as the “Bad Boy” Joey Janela teams with Jimmy Havoc and Darby Allin. They will face off against a trio of villains as the “Perfect Ten” Shawn Spears leads the loud-mouth Sammy Guevara and the most hated man in wrestling, Maxwell Jacob Friedman, into battle.

There are some very interesting dynamics in play here in this six-man match, which will more than likely not end with the competitors politely shaking hands and coming away with a newfound respond for their fellow performer. This one’s going to be chaos.

For one, MJF has been played up as “Cody’s best friend” as a thread on Being The Elite, and we just saw him rush to his besties side at Fyter Fest after Shawn Spears damn near decapitated Rhodes with an allegedly “gimmicked” chair shot to the head, busting him open and requiring 10 staples. Somehow I don’t see those two working well together.

Guevara is kind of a wildcard. He could be a solid teammate and has proven himself to be a more than capable wrestler, but he’s also well known for putting himself above all else. He’ll also be looking for a much-needed victory after losing in his debut to Kip Sabian during the Double or Nothing pre-show.

As for the others – it’s basically a crap shoot over whether Jimmy Havoc and Joey Janela can coexist and get the job done, or if they’ll end up shooting each other with staple guns at some point. Who the hell knows what Darby Allin is thinking…

AEW Fight for the Fallen takes place in Jacksonville, FL on Saturday, July 13th and will be broadcast live and free in the U.S. through B/R Live, and on pay-per-view through FITE TV internationally.
