SoCal Val recently spoke with Inside The Ropes for an interview about her time in TNA where she discussed working with Vince Russo, Jeff Jarrett and more.
On Jeff Jarrett as a boss:
“All I have ever known Jeff to be is super professional and a really nice guy. He’s a little elusive and I don’t mean that in a bad way, he was a boss who didn’t try to be best friends with everybody, and we did have a boss that tried to be best friends (Dixie Carter) and that’s not always the best approach. I think you have to have a bit of professionalism and Jeff was always good at that. He was great and that’s something that Dixie might have been different with her approach.”
TNA’s big moment and the problem of WWE stars joining:
“I think the Spike TV deal was the biggest thing when Kurt Angle showed up when the big stars showed up it was like ‘wow.’ But then it became a thing where everyone in the world who had worked for WWE was brought in to TNA and acted like they were Ric Flair, I never understood that why it was almost a guaranteed contract with TNA when you were released from WWE, I never agreed with that.”
Her thoughts on Vince Russo, Eric Bischoff, and Hulk Hogan
“This is the thing when someone has all this stuff being said about them, I hear all that but to be honest you have to take everything at face value and Vince Russo was always nothing but really cool to me. He was in charge of many of the situations with Jay Lethal and I and he was great. He let us have creative input which I thought was really nice, he was up for a laugh, so to me, I have nothing but great things to say about him. A lot of people will have some things to say about Hogan and Bischoff but I have nothing but super, super positive things to say.
