Sonya Deville Wants SmackDown Women’s Championship Match

The SmackDown Women’s Championship match for the upcoming WWE Royal Rumble has yet to be determined, but Sonya Deville is hoping she will be involved.

Despite WWE originally advertising that the match would see Asuka defend her title against the former champion, Becky Lynch, those plans were scrapped and a number one contender hasn’t been determined.

On the New Year’s Day episode of WWE SmackDown Live, Triple H was involved in a backstage segment with several members of the women’s roster attempting to determine who will face Asuka.

Triple H asked the champion who she wants to face and Asuka made it clear she would take on anybody which led to Charlotte Flair, Carmella, and Becky Lynch appearing and making their claims to be given the chance.

However, they aren’t the only women who want a shot with Sonya Deville taking to Twitter to stake her claim as well. Deville pointed out that she beat Charlotte Flair a few weeks ago and this week defeated Naomi, asking why she wasn’t invited to the gathering.
