During last night’s IMPACT Hard To Kill main event, Tessa Blanchard defeated Sami Callihan to become the IMPACT World Heavyweight Champion. The PPV came to an end quickly after her win, but when the show stopped airing on PPV, Blanchard gave a promo for the live crowd.
Despite the negative reports that have surrounded Blanchard during the weekend, she was still given the big push by the company, becoming the first woman in history to hold the title.
Blanchard took to the microphone to speak with the fans where she loosely addressed the recent reports, while also speaking about how proud she is of being the World Champion.
“Over the past eight months, this has been my life. Sami and oVe have been a thorn in my side and tonight, we did it. Nobody, nobody in this life is perfect. We’re all human. And it doesn’t matter what you say about me, it doesn’t matter what you call me. I’ve got one of the strongest minds that I have ever known. Whenever you come for me, you come for all these people. And I am now the standard-bearer in IMPACT Wrestling and man or woman, pound-for-pound, I am one of the best in the world and I am now your World Champion.”
